Fall in Love with Pumpkin reDESIGN

October 7, 2011

Fall into love with these darling ideas for DIY pumpkin designs for home harvest and holiday happiness.

In preparation for the ghouls, think black and white for a more sinister feel.  A little spray paint can go a long way.  Even chalkboard paint has a place here for larger gourds to carry a message of the season.  Lace may not be on the top of your list for decorating paraphernalia, but sure makes an awesome statement when covering a white pumpkin with a black painted handle!

This darling bowl of minis needs nothing more than a few mix and match ribbons to finish the high style.

A little bit of paint never looked so good!

Please Be Seated

August 30, 2011

Escort cards and seating charts are one of the most time consuming DIY tasks at any event ~ and yet it seems the one most often tackled by the bride or hostess at every party attended being one of the guests first impressions of the host’s thankfulness for their guests’ attendance and carries with it the setting of the scene for which the guests are about to experience.  With some careful creativity and enough time to see this daunting chore through, it’s not at all about the pocket b...

Simplify Your Vessel

January 22, 2011

'It's easy to get caught up in the idea that to live a greener, healthier life, you have to completely reinvent your ways.  But more often than not, lasting change comes by making things simpler, not harder.  Instead of thinking about all you should do, try a gentler, easier approach ~ one that goes back to basics.  Reusable shopping bags, manual can openers, a walk to the corner store, handmade gifts.  A sustainable future doesn't grow out of a to-do list, but from a desire for the kind of l...
